Second Best - 01 Release
Pairing/Characters: kokunno, akakame, mentions of maruda, onesided kokame, onesided junda
Summary: Koki and Junno in a *friends w/ benefits* relationship as they deal with unrequited love *nods* yes I am definitely writing KokixJunno. not really a multi-chaptered fic, more like a series of connected drabble ficlets though it probably won't be that many ficlets long either
It began one night when the three of them - Junno, Kame, and Koki - had gone out to karaoke. They had spent hours singing in and out of tune and drinking merrily, and before anyone realized it the time had flown by quickly and it was getting late into the night. Junno had taken it upon himself to text Akanishi - it was common knowledge that the older man was always the one to pick Kame up no matter the time or what he may have been doing - and it wasn’t long before there was a knock at the door and Akanishi stepped into the room; his hair disheveled as if he just got out of bed. Akanishi had made his way towards Kame and gently shook the younger man.
“Kazu? Wake up; it’s time to go home.”
Kame blearily blinked his eyes opened and reached out his arms, “Jin.” he said smiling tired but brightly.
Akanishi let out a sigh that would’ve sounded convincing if it wasn’t for the tender smile donning his own face. He bent down and wrapped his arms around the smaller man, gently picking Kame up into his arms.
“Only until we get to the front doors okay? Then you have to walk the rest of the way to the car.” Akanishi whispered softly and Kame nodded - one never knew where the paparazzi could be hiding, and even just carrying Kame inside the building was risky enough. Junno made his way towards the door opening it for Akanishi, and the older man gave a thankful grin and muttered a goodbye to the remaining two occupants before leaving albeit at a slow, leisurely pace.

Koki, Junno noted, downed another couple bottles of beer before getting up a few minutes later only to immediately sway on his feet. Junno jumped to his feet and grabbed the other’s arm helping to balance his unstable band mate. The smaller man slumped against him. He braced himself and the duo stumbled out of the building where Junno hailed a cab. Arriving to Koki’s apartment Junno paused for a moment before paying the cab fee and letting the taxi go - it was late and he was tired, so maybe his friend wouldn’t mind if he spent the night.
They had just made it into the entryway when it happened. He wasn’t sure which one of them tripped, but none the less someone did and the two of them tumbled down onto the hard floor. It was stupid and so ridiculously cliché - even to Taguchi himself - how he’d fallen onto his back and Koki sprawled out on top of him. And without missing a beat - really the situation could have been a scene from a movie - he felt a pair of warm lips on his own. His eyes widened and he’d tried to push off the older man, but as he did so Junno saw the hurt that lied in Koki’s eyes. And he remembered. He remembered the longing painful look Koki had given Kame as Akanishi took the younger man away earlier that night.
Koki was hurting - probably had been for a long time - and needed to find a source of release. And even if it was just for a moment Junno wanted to be able to give that to the other man, because he himself knew what it was like to see the person he loved be happy with another. After all he’d been in love with Uepi since forever, but the older man had chosen Nakamaru over him. And he’d been okay with it - just because someone fell in love didn’t mean that they were guaranteed a happy ending. He dealt with it, but Koki hadn’t yet - maybe he didn’t know how to - and perhaps it was a mistake and a stupid choice but Koki needed this. Junno brought a hand to cup the side of Koki’s face before leaning up to mesh their lips together once again.
