Confused
Today was my fourth time watching Il Mare, yet somehow I never caught any of the plot inconsistencies before. For example, at the end of the movie, if the guy meets up with the girl before they begin their letter exchange, how can he possibly be alive, since it was her last letter that saved him? And also, if he did read the letter and live, why would the girl be living in Il Mare, which in the previously timeline was only vacated because he had died? And even if he had moved out for some reason, why would he wait until she herself was moving out to go and introduce himself to her?
Perhaps most curious of all... Why didn't the girl seek out the future version of the guy on her own? I mean, the movie obviously wouldn't have worked if she had found out about his death prematurely, but still.
I still love this movie. I just wish they hadn't tacked on the happy but impossible ending to make everyone feel better.
In other news, the only AP test I have left is macroeconomics. The others have been surprisingly nice to me, even though today's psych free response question #1 was weird. I can't wait for Thursday to be over.
My sister thinks that the trinkets I find in geocaches are ancient treasures. I wonder how long I can keep her thinking that...
I should start preparing for Yosemite. Half Dome is going to be a fun but trying experience.
