I've been posting around and I've already said hey to loads of you, but -
Hello, fellow FPSers! Wow, this community is such a great thing, because not only have I already hooked up with six or seven people that I know or have met, but I hope I can get to know more of you. FPS is also one of those things that people who aren't familiar with it just don't understand, so here, we can vent and discuss and celebrate without having to explain what a Key Verb Phrase is. :)
On to introductions: I'm Megan, and I compete in Senior Team Problem Solving in Ohio. I've been involved in FPS since our gifted teacher started teaching us the process in third grade, and I've been doing it competitively for seven years. I've been to our state bowl four times, and this year we won and were invited to IC. It was my first year there, and it was phenomenal. We won third in the senior division, ranked sixth in skits overall, and met oodles of lovely people. Whew. I really hope I get to go again next year, since it will be my eighth and final year!
(I made two posts about IC to my personal journal, so I'll just link to those from here. In the first one I wrote a schedule-like
"highlights of the weekend" thing, and in the second, I posted a ton of
pictures that our coach took. The pictures are links and are all un-friendslocked at the moment, so you all can see them if you'd like.)
So that's that, for tonight. Cheers, everyone!
