About the weather

One of the things one faces when living in certain parts of the country is the nature of weather.

In the Northwest, cold and snow are serious and life threatening variables that have to be understood and made ready for.

Thankfully, today was only a tiny example of what a lot of other places have to cope with for months on end. I had the luxury of going out for lunch and dinner, the snow that had begin to gather on the ground having melted in the rain that followed.

I never tend to doubt predictions of really bad weather events. When they are wrong, that's easy to cope with. When they are right, they save lives. We might see some really bad weather a few days before Thanksgiving, Monday and Tuesday being the worst. But that gives me even more to be grateful for.

Here's to a safe and comfortable Winter season. May your travel be safe and swift.
