Has this been a topic before? I can't remember. I hope not.
Anyway, my discussion topic today for all you lovely people has two parts:
PART ONE:
What is something that you claim to hate but secretly read anyway?
For me, it's supernatural romance. I recently picked up these two books from the library - one was about vampires and the other was about a telepath. Yeah, they're cheesy, yeah, they're the mental equivalent of a high calorie cupcake (and probably just as bad for you) - but goddamn, they're good.
PART TWO:
What is something that you claim to hate but secretly (or perhaps not-so-secretly) do in your own writing?
For me, it's the bad boys. I think they're totally overrated, but can't seem to get away from them in my own writing. They're sexy, I guess, and we all want what we can't have. I admire people who can do well fleshed-out male characters that don't come across as being overly dominant or quasi-ovulating (read: Edward Cullen). I sure can't, though. :B
How about you?
romance,
guilty pleasures,
supernatural
