Like others I started writing when I was really young, my 'friends' at the time were total bitches and in my family talking to yourself is considered extremely healthy, lmao, so when I wasn't reading I was creating things in my head, after awhile I started to write them down.

I think the first time I got serious about it was sixth grade when we had to write a short story and I decided to do it on the Holocaust and my teacher made a huge fuss about it and then the class read it and she made us kick off a segment about it, I found it so cool that the randomness in my head got turned into something everyone participated and got to act out.

"Which would be a huge jump since writing is essentially a secret hobby of mine- the only time I ever shared work was during creative writing classes, which I sort of... didn't really write the way I do when I know I'm not being judged by peers, haha."
Same here, lol, my family knows I write but no one is allowed to read what I write. If I ever get published it'll most likely be under a pseudonym because I have no problem with strangers reading my stuff but people I know personally, not so much, lol.

Haha, that's funny because writing got 'fun' for me in 6th grade also- except I didn't really pursue it or anything, I just started reading more since it was a book that changed everything for me.

And yes, same here! If I ever were to actually make that jump, I'd definitely choose some gender/age/race neutral name... and not tell anybody.
