Everything has a limit
I do not like having to criticize a friend who holds obviously indefensible opinions. When that happens in my blog, and it goes on and on, and that on a day when I am working like a dog to get my flat fit for a visitor who is coming over Easter, I am apt to regard any continued debate as a complete waste of my time. I do not think that I am under any obligation to shoot down two or three dozen completely wrong statements, each of which brought in to support a previous wrong one, when I have more urgent things to do. There are only 24 hours in a day and only seventy years in a lifetime, and once you have wasted them, they won't come back.
