1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
I spent two months of my summer doing mathsy research. I drove way above the speed limit. I kissed people I wasn't dating. I sang karaoke - and kicked ass! I finally learned what it meant to work hard in school.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I don't make New Years' resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, thank god. Although a lot of people from my graduating class in high school seem to be popping them out...
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None! *cry* Here's hoping for England/France/Germany in '08.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Enough sense not to put off important applications until very late.
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
There is no one particular date. Senior week is something I hope I'll remember - it was great of Evans and company to let me live in their suite, and we had a ton of fun. Also the entire span from end of June to end of August will be something I want to remember. My time at UCLA was indescribable.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Managing to complete a semester without dropping a single class, or failing anything. And rocking the hell out of karaoke nights. :D
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting my ass into gear for the last part of my Take 5 application. I spent a lot of time freaking out that could have been used in a far more constructive manner. Like, you know, studying.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope, nothing major. Two years and running without anything major! Damn mono...
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A tie between my spinning wheel and the plane tickets to Seattle for a weekend.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I'm not going to answer this question, or the next one. People who pleased me know they did, and people who upset me also know.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
See above.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Knitting-related goods, Chinese food with Steve.

RIPS! Take 5! Latin!

ii. Thinner or fatter? Fatter. :(
iii. Richer or poorer? Richer!

Reading poorly scanned/transcribed notes for CSC 173. Research for RIPS. Learning how to let go and have a good time.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Letting go too much and having too good of a time. :P
20. How did you spend Christmas/Hannukah/etc.?

Hmm... I'm going with "nope."

No, it takes a lot to make me hate someone.
26. What was the best book you read?
If on a winter's night a traveler... by Italo Calvino. You have to read it to understand, it sounds really odd whenever I try to describe it.

A bit of validation.
29. What did you want and not get?
There was this boy, you see...
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I'm going to go with Ratatouille. The whole experience of that movie was amazing, and it might be biasing me just a little bit. (Going to a church/movie theater in Westwood with the Pixar team, having the movie paid for by Pixar, getting dinner at a wonderful restaurant afterward, and then Diddy Rese ice cream. Mm...)
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 21, worked all day at the office, sat awkwardly in my room watching a TV show on my computer while my roommate and her boy person half-watched/half-canoodled behind me, and went to bed early.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Less stress.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?

The fact that if at any point I went insane, I would not be able to achieve any of the things I wanted to do.

David Tennant. I'd enter his TARDIS any day.

The RIPS crowd - Claudia, Martin, Glenn, Alex, Aalok.
38. Who was the best new person you met?

Not to worry, it will all work out in the end - if you make an effort.
40. If you could sum up 2007 in three words, what would they be?
You know, I don't like this question. I'm going to take last year's question instead.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Stop making the eyes at me, I'll stop making the eyes at you. What it is that surprises me is that I don't really want you too."
Apparently I did this last year, too. David Lu!!, you are a bad influence. (Whether it came from you last year too is immaterial.)
