Stolen from Gordon: O is for...

Comment and I'll give you a letter. Then with that happy little letter, go choose your favorite songs starting with that letter! Put it in your Livejournal and see how many people know your songs!

  • "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da" - The Beatles. It is impossible for me to listen to this song and do anything but smile. It's just so... happyhappyfunjoy.
  • "Oedipus Rex" - Tom Lehrer. I'd rather kiss a duck billed platypus than end up like old Oedipus Rex! Tom Lehrer is intelligently funny, which is rare in most people. Not a bad pianist, either. Not great, but not horrible.
  • "Old Devil Moon" - version by J. J. Johnson. This brings back good memories of high school jazz band. It was one of our standards that Eric and I would request over and over again. One of the few songs that should be played by a trombone.
  • "One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces" - Ben Folds. What more can I say? Ben Folds is the man.
  • "Only in Dreams" - Weezer. One of the songs for which I will keep the car running if I arrive at my destination before the song ends. There is something about it...
  • "Opus 69 (Cello Sonata in A Major)" - Beethoven. I only have the first two movements (where did the other two go?) but WOW. Good music.

I must say, I quite love iTunes' "sort by first letter of title" option... although I guess it automatically ruled out anything that begins with an apostrophe or some other such mark of punctuation. Hm. Well, those are the six that I chose. Enjoy!
