(no subject)
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
So, I've somehow hurt my right ankle... it's like painful... lots-ly. My mum goes... "so now you know the turmoil of working standing up" blablabla. BUT this morning it dawned on us. DRIVING LESSONS. I've been SO terrified behind the wheel that my right foot has been like plastered to the floor in the stiffest position. So yeah, new form of car accident eh? I'm like still limping and I wanted to go shopping tomorrow. Hmph.
My dad decided to stay home today. I felt sorry for him. Told him to come to Caroline's house with me and mum but mum said he'd just sit around doing nothing. So, hmmm, I wonder if he really cares bout being left alone on xmas day, because we're Buddhist and all but I still love xmas.
Anyway, I'm at Caroline's house atm. Not that many people here. Me, my mum, John, Caroline, Laura and their mums. Have eaten so much crap though.
Laura's dad's mum passed away in Vietnam last week. Laura and her mum don't seem that affected though (on a side note: Laura's mum and dad haven't slept in the same bed for years... I've always wondered why...), her dad's gone to Vietnam though for the week.
And yayness! Laura got my Notting Hill for xmas and Caroline got me Hitchhiker's Guide :)
I spent more time with the Americans yesterday. Learnt more about them. Crystal plays piano really well. She told me Americans don't usually say time like "it's 10 to 6", they only say quarter to/past (how interesting I hear you say). Selenna finds Aussi language amusing ie American(Aus): Trunk(boot), sweater(jumper), "australian who smells"(bogan).
The girls and their mum eat hardly nething. Not like I care or anything but they tell others... like me. They wake up at like 4.30 each morning and swim/exercise and they treat water as a snack. I was eating red bean soup I think and the mum like leapt on me "No! YOU can't eat that!" and I was like shocked and looked at her as if to say "HELLO?! Who do you think you are? YOU can't tell me what to do." And she kind of realised I think and put on a smile and laugh "Kidding! Kidding!"
Saw Thanh and Roger (cousins) yesterday too. They congratulated my on my ENTER, asked how I felt. I said I was so over it and I can't believe it but my dad told everyone that I was really upset over it... how embararrassing... no wonder they were nice to me.
I think Crystal has a crush on Thanh... hahaha! No reason not to... except the whole cousin thing lol. But what's more disturbing, my dad wanted to set up Quang with Crystal's mum's sister. She's like 40-something. lol, dad asked me if Quang would like her hahhaha I just laughed.
I played with Simon yesterday too... he is SO cute. Still at that stage when he's still amused by peek-a-boo.
Anyway, it's just been a lazy xmas day. I'm working morning most of next week which is a pain. Customers are always crankiest in the morning. It was real hectic yesterday morning and you know, they're making me work 7hrs Friday... jeeezz. How much do I need to save up for backpacking?
