Updates
- Guess the biggest news of the week is that I got laid off of work. Woe.
I was just going about my business with about 10 minutes left of the day (yesterday) and the boss comes around and said something I couldn't hear (seriously... I'm deaf at the worst of times), I thought he wanted a pen so I just go "sorry?" and he goes on to say how the newbies need to be let go because of lack of work for the next few months and how my pay will go through next week blah blah thanks for your help baaaiiii
And I'm thinking "Hm. Okay..." and I tell mum (who wasn't really surprised).
Mmm, I cared very little for this job. My first thought was - I DON'T HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 6AM ANYMORE. And then I thought about lack of income. And that made me very sad. And the absence of cute boy all last week LOL
I'm looking forward to hearing who else got laid off when mum goes in to work on Monday.
Blaaah, probably be applying for Centrelink on Monday. It all confuses me. I keep thinking WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT OF ALL OF THIS. OF LIFE. I still don't know. It's all very rubbish.
So. Whatever.
- Went to see Danny Bhoy a couple of nights ago. Oh man, he is awesome! It was my first time at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and it was thoroughly enjoyable! I'm also seeing Stephen K. Amos and Mark Watson this month and want to see one more comedian maybe.
- A bit random, but I recently read Nick Hornby's Otherwise Pandemonium. And I found it really... striking? And somewhat a powerful piece. Saying that sounds stupid because it's a 25 page story, narrated by a teenage boy who is pretty much recounting the time he lost his virginity - but it's not really about that at all and it left me with an eerie feeling...
- Got my Twilight DVD from Borders US *hugs* watched the movie with mum - she thought the vampires' makeup was really creepy and loved the ballet studio scene. And then Quang and Caroline came around to watch most of the extras with me! The kinky finger biting scene is on the bonus disc! OMG and so it the vampire baseball blooper! And um, I totally just ordered the Sanity copy as well... to get the 3rd bonus disc. Just for the Midnight Sun footage they shot of Edward attacking Bella in Biology - OMG IT'S HILARIOUS.
- Today, went to the cemetery for the annual Asian... death prayer day or whatever it's called. So got a chance to catch up with extended family, then spent the rest of the day at the hospital with Grandpa. All in all a good day with family :)
- Finally been accepted to daily_gaspard and spent some time ogling Gaspard Ulliel lol there seems to be a lot of hate towards his fiancée lol but I think they are, like, Really Hot French Couple. ZOMG at that last pic! Totally a movie!kiss but IRL! Dayum.
- And lastly, I admit, I would not have bothered updating LJ today if I hadn't have wanted to post these photos!
