I'm feeling not well. I think it was a combination of "chilling" out yesterday, relaxing on my own and then having to go back to work today :( I'm missing a couple of birthday parties I think - that is woeful :(
So I'm just sitting around doing things that probably don't interest anyone.
- I've made a couple of playlists - might upload one later.
- I watched Thomas Kinkade's Home for Christmas - man, that was a slow movie, I must say.
- I'm watching Ils (Them) now. It's a French horror, I had high expectations... but... it seems very Strangers like at the moment. And I don't think I've even seen the antagonist yet. I'm hoping the ending will save it!
- I think there is something wrong with my speakers :( The speech is very soft and the BANGS are really loud - it happened with Thomas Kinkade, Ils and Supernatural :S
- I am capping shows that I plan on doing icons for... I've still got a whole to do already capped but I'm just capping Moonlight and Merlin atm, thank god for the Batch cap mode lol
- Might finish the rest of True Blood Season 1 icons tonight
- I am sifting through MerlinxArthur recs and saving them :)
- I want a new layout and header for LJ now haha I might revert to
gossymer's one since it allowed sufficient links
Although my heat sickness/intolerance may worsen (or get better - yay for heatwave breaking!), I am looking forward to spending the weekend at home I guess for I am tired.

I don't know, I had the same issue with The Strangers and Funny Games as I do with Ils!
Apparently Ils is also based on a true story about a couple being murdered by children. I just... don't see the appeal in this type of storyline. I don't think it's scary I think... because - they're JUST FUCKING PSYCHO. That's... not very interesting you know? And they have no depth or character otherwise.
I mean, I love a good psycho movie but the bad guys need to be more fleshed out for me to be scared of them. I think Funny Games tried.
The reason the lunatic kids in Ils had for being murderous was because they "just wanted to play" (and that's the reason the REAL psycho kids gave too) but that reveal was so badly done in the movie... it wasn't creepy at all.
SAYING THAT, I love how this movie was shot... very gritty like, nice.
OMG THESE MOVIES ANNOY ME.
