Most of today was so fail.
The interview - was fine. I never do well in interviews, so it wasn't EPIC fail by my standards. Oh, whatever. I was so happy it was over!
Then went to the city. It was stinkin' hot of course. Checked out Cash Converters and Dixon's but didn't buy a thing! Went to the museum next to seek refuge from the heat. The walk from the tram stop to the museum entrance was SCORCHING. But the museum was beautifully cool! I only had time for one exhibit, the Body & Mind one - it was awesome, especially the mind one. Too bad I couldn't take photos in there.
Anyway, I spent the day chugging down bottles of water (yay for museum drinking taps) in preparation for my blood donation. And oh my, someone doesn't want me to complete my darn Mission101! They did the finger prick thing and my hemoglobin was showing below normal (about 106) and so they retested from the blood from my arm and it still showed only about 114. So I couldn't donate! They said it might be iron deficiency but they've sent it off for tests and will mail me results (my Dad better not open my mail) so for now, I'm on 6 months deferral unless the results say I'm okay. Woe.
Did a bit more browsing and hid out in Borders before meeting up with Erin for dinner at Groove Train. I love that place *lol* then went to Mai Tai! Damn I do love that place more. I had a refreshing Blue Curacao based drink and a Midori one... chill.
I shall do a handbag post and icons post tomorrow, or later tonight if I am still awake :)
PS
I was so close to ordering this today... like, I was at checkout. But I am waiting to see if there is a better release of it. THE PACKAGING IS HOT. ETA Oh oh oh, I forgot to add that the Season 3 premier of Skins was awesome. I have never been so enthralled by a slut so much before. She's awesome lol
Aaaaand. RPattz, I have moved onto your FRIENDS.
Rob doesn't seem to be on the verge of recording new music any time soon so I downloaded a bunch of his friends' tracks (from
pattinson_music). Some of it is really good. Especially
Sam Bradley.
I was listening to his track "Too Far Gone" and I was thinking "Hm, this does sound awfully familiar". And I figured out it is the... demo? Original? Version of "Never Think". He co-wrote "Never Think" with Rob so I wonder if they rewrote the lyrics to "Too Far Gone" specifically for the movie? Or had they just rewritten it because they wanted to. The melody is completely different but most of the lyrics are the same... but the re-write has changed the meaning of the song.
I DON'T KNOW WHICH I LOVE MORE.
I have a playlist named "RPattz & Friends" :D
