So yeah. Dad's work was making cut-backs, we'd known for a few months now that it was coming but yeah, his last day was yesterday. Got a good payout - so it wasn't in vain I guess. But it means now that I'm practically job hunting for two *sigh*
Today was a good day. I got up late, "played" (not really the right word at the moment is it? haha) guitar a bit (have learnt a bit of Viva La Vida... kinda) and just bummed around till parents came home. Then we went to Box Hill for their Chinese New Year festival. It was okay. They had the Victorian Police Showband there - they're cool! And I got some chilli beef jerky... yummm.
We got some pancakes at an Ichipan type store and there was I was asked the weirdest thing! That just goes to show how us Yellows scare the Whites :S
I was waiting for my order and the middle aged woman next me was kind of looking at me funny and finally goes "Do you speak English okay?" kind of louder than normal with her face closer to mine and I say "Yeah..." and she says "Do you think these people," (points at pancake makers) "will charge me more than they would you?"
I didn't think I heard properly.
"...because you're Asian?"
Oh. She did not just ask me that!
"Uh, yeah... prices are up on the board?" - what else could I say?

Oh, we are up to episode 9 of Merlin, I say "we" because Mum enjoys it too! Hehe. She likes shows in which, you know, stuff happens - like fangs, or killing, or magic stuffs. I... really can't get over how slashy it is now :D *Merlin charges into Arthur's room*: "Just pull out!" It... doesn't even make sense, but HA*squee*
Just watched Latter Days too. Yes, I do love this movie a lot. I realised I totally forgot the end of it! *must find DVD* I've also realised that with the movie list I've been keeping I can approximately gauge how many hours of the year I waste watching movies. I really should've kept a TV Show list too... *lol* considering I follow about 10 currently-running shows, 2-4 on-hiatus shows and a 2-4 off-air ones o.O
