I am tired. All this... refusing to sleep at a reasonable time is taking it's toll haha.
So Christmas day was great. Think it was better than last. And because I can't be bothered with detail at the moment:
Played Wii. Sucked at Mario Kart.
Cousins taught me stuff on guitar. Can sort-of-almost play the James Bond theme and Star Spangled Banner haha.
Very "Aussie"("White") lunch (turkey, potatoes, pumkin, salad...) and very Asian dinner (HotPot! Fried rice, spring rolls...) The food was abundant.
From family I got: Iron Man, The Dark Knight, a pink china plate, $50 DJs voucher and $400 red pocket (for graduation apparently... I should graduate more often)
Made tons of chocolate fondue to have with grapes, strawberries, apple and nectarine mmmm
Today, caught up with aussiebuffy for some Boxing Day shopping! I really only needed a new wallet. And I'd been eyeing the Marcs Suzie leather wallet for a while. It wasn't on sale but I had my $50 voucher to use so I got that :) and My Own Private Idaho which I'd heard about but not seen yet.
Saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, I really enjoyed it. It was really impressive how they elaborated on the F. Scott Fitzgerald short story (of 30 pages) to a three hour movie. They're both very poignant in their own way but I guess, thinking about the plot and the characters now... only the premise of the story remained true. Look, you can read the short story online! I loved Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett in it and Elle Fanning was totally cute.
Watched The Dark Knight with my Mum tonight, I think the story line was a bit too complex for her (I didn't know what the Vietnamese word for "mob" is :S I settled for "uhm... like those druggie people with lots of power and money - the baaaaaad people") but I think she enjoyed it! (if he's so bad... why is he on the cover of the DVD?? -.-)
