Save me!
Mum's listening to viet radio, so cannot continue to watch the awesome Moonlight yet. How did I miss this show? When I started the first episode, it seemed like an older show to me... I was kind of thinking Sliders or Farscape days, but it was last year?! What the? They totally chose the wrong year to cash in on the vampire hype haha.
So anyway, last night. I got freaked out. I don't know why, but I am, like, very scared of flies. I was reading Orwell's Animal Farm in bed late last night (with only my booklight) and I hear the sound of my blinds rattling and a little thump-thump somewhere. I chose to ignore it, thinking it was a fly stuck behind the blinds that will die soon enough. But then I hear, and feel on the bedspace in front of me and so I turn my light towards it and the HUGE (had to be 1-1.5cm) fly was lying there! I am the type of person who swats flies but does not pick them up. So, I sort of swipe it onto the floor with my book. Thinking that was the end of it, a few minutes later, the thump-thump starts again! And I'm like, oh noes, TWO! But the one on the floor was gone. I look back to my book and ARGH it's on the page!
I jump up and turn on the light and see the fly thumping against/around the ceiling! Obviously dying.
My dad came home from work at this point and I told him GETITOUTGETITOUTGETITOUT! But the fly disappeared OF COURSE. And then I eventually got to sleep (suffocating, completely under the covers).
My worst nightmare would be Hitchcock's The Flies.
