I love lazy Sundays!
Had a sleep in today (which means till 9am for me now).
Hehe, driving. Mum's usually with me when I'm getting out of the driveway (when I drive us to work) but I had to try it myself today. And I bumped into two things: I ran over the concrete ledge of our mini garden and I nudged the wheelie bin >.< The trip to Blackburn was more or less uneventful apart from being honked at I think but I don't know what for. I love how driving is like a big deal for me and a commonality for normal people haha. More driving pain ensued but first...
Brunch and shopping with Erin was great! The weather was just awesome and so was my omelette, cake and splice :) Harbourtown isn't great (yet), not many of the shops are open at all. So we just went to Coffee Club. Went to Borders and got my cousins Christmas present (5 books from the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson [Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging movie]) and I picked up the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book for $5 and Girl, Interrupted and Requiem for a Dream DVDs!
Hm, so I wanted to go to Blackburn Dixon's Recycled. The last time I drove there was with my mum and I made a turn from the wrong lane (luckily no cars about) but I DID IT AGAIN. It's like 2 lanes (one going left, one right) but the right turning one didn't exactly go right - it went around a round about, straight ahead - where I wanted to go. But I was confused and stopped in the left turning lane. And so got honked at. So I just turned left and went around the block the long way haha. Oh, man, I suck.
I had my shopping list with me, though I ended up getting a bunch of stuff not on the list >.<
Got: The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Machinist, Music & Lyrics, Minority Report (I had to REPLACE my copy! My "friend" borrowed it years ago and never returned it... *grumbles*), Rove '99, the BZ album (HAHA, it was cheaper than RRP) and OMGOMG, the
Yelle album! I was looking for Will Young and came across it! How random! It's like French electro-pop, so fab! I think it's a sample full album copy sent to radio stations I got. It's got lyrics too! I can now sing along with a horrible French accent!
Ooh, and on the way home, just turning into my driveway. I completely missed it and almost crashed into the neighbours fence. Luckily just had to wait a few seconds for cars to pass so I could reverse and try again haha.
And now, I'm not doing anything productive haha. I'm listening to Human Nature's Symphony of Hits album - it's pretty cool! I've always enjoyed their songs I guess. Love the Darren Hayes duet :) He should've kept that song for himself! Would've suited his first solo album I think. But alas, he's gone on to greater things :)
