Continuing from my
Play Cute series of eyelashes, here’s the next installment of Decorative Eyelash reviews and looks.
#1 is surprisingly natural… if you don’t look at it from the top, that is. It gives me a doe-eyed look (you can also call it the sleepy look) and I had to trim off quite a bit at the ends because it was rather long.
#2 is … fluttery. very. the lashes are both criss-crossed and straight, are extremely long even for me, and methinks it will go with very pretty peacock colored make up - somehow this just reminds me a lot of Clara (dblchin), haha. This pair of lashes gives you an intense look.
#3 is the most natural of the lot - I find this suitable for everyday wear if you’re the kind who loves slightly dramatic lashes.
#4 are bottom lashes. There’s also #5, which is another pair of bottom lashes but I didn’t review it because I find it quite thick - in my honest opinion, for these two bottom lashes to work, you’d have to have very thick gyaru make up on and make sure that your lower lid is well-lined so that you can’t see any gaps.
In my case, I cut the bottom lashes into 3 parts because… it’s incredibly hard to stick on falsies just like that. I know it looks a little weird and gap-ish, but if you have thick eyeliner on you could get away with it ; ) or just heavily coat your bottom lashes!
If anyone’s interested to know what tools I use for applying and trimming eyelashes…
If you ask me, I don’t recommend buying the eyelash holder/fixer tool I have. A pair of tweezers would be easier - but take care not to poke your eye with it! I use the DUP translucent eyelash fixer (glue) for falsies with an invisible band and the DollyWink black one for lashes with a black band. If you think that the invisible lash bone is actually somewhat obvious, use the black lash glue over it - instant black lash bone!
The lashes go for SGD $21.90 for a box of 5 pairs, and they are available in Watson’s Jcosmeland/Shibuya Gals corner.
(They don’t come in the box like the first pic I show - that one was compiled like that just for pictures)
