September’s here! What’s in Vanity Trove September…?
I heart September.
We ended August with a huge feast (for 4 persons, it’s really a lot) of:
8 bamboo clams (yes, 8!)
sambal kangkong
800 grams of prawns
2 crabs (one in pepper, one chilli) total 2.5kg
4 fried buns
Oh god we were so full! The waitress looked really worried “you sure you can finish ha?” and kept telling us to stop ordering as it was too much! but some 40 minutes later as we were polishing off the last chilli crab leg she came over and told us that she really had to give it to us. “哇 佩服 你们真厉害” hurhur I think it’s about time to get my cholesterol checked. *rubs tummy*
(Hua Yu Wee has been around for over 20 years now, and the food is still pretty awesome even till now. The best part? If the carpark’s full, there’s a valet! It is located at 462 Upper East Coast Road!)
And then on the first day of September, after being a part time manicurist (for kids only!!) at my baby cousin’s birthday (okay, she’s 7! Happy Birthday Avlyn Chee!) and spending a good few hours painting tiny fingers and telling kids “STAY STILL! DON’T MOVE! DON’T TOUCH ANYTHING!” (Gosh you’ll really see some kids sitting still for the first time hahaha and some of them don’t even dare to breathe!), I came home to a surprise at my doorstep!
