Color Artistry made easy by Lancôme, ft Michelle Phan!

Aug 06, 2012 22:19

Last weekend was probably the busiest (and the most exciting!) of this year.

Started with Friday (okay not a real weekend, but still…) where some of us beauty bloggers attended Lancome’s Color Artistry x Michelle Phan session, which saw the addition of make up brushes to Lancôme’s offerings, and also welcoming to our Singaporean shores, 22 new eyeshadow colors for their Ombre Hypnôse Mono range along with Michelle Phan!

The new Ombre Hypnôse Mono eyeshadows, S$36 for 2.5g of product, are categorized as Fresh & Luminious, Chic & Sophisticated and Deep & Glamorous.

All the shadows have a letter in front of the numbers, denoting the texture of the shadows - S for Shimmery, I for Iridescent, M for Matte, and P for Pearly.
Fresh & Luminious

“7 fresh shades to choose from to create a soft halo of light on the eyelid: the palest eyeshadows caress the eyes with sand, pink and blonde tones. These voluptuous shades each add their own note of freshness.”

* Didn’t swatch M102 Beige Nu here.

Chic & Sophisticated

“Violet plum, pop blue or turquoise eyeshadows are a must to accentuate colour intensity. A total of 9 colors for you to choose from!”

We were missing I203 Eclat de Bleuet & I204 Cuban Light so we didn’t swatch that.

Deep & Glamorous

“More intense shades give bold glamour to the eyes: emerald, deep violet and chocolate dress up eyelids for an ultimate smoky look.”

The hand in the swatches above belong to lovely Chantana, who lent us her hand (cos she’s the fairest of us all!) and had to go through many wipes.. Thank you so much!!! Please visit her wunnerful blog here! The swatches were done dry - imagine the intensity with a primer?!

Chantana & I while waiting for Michelle Phan

Michelle Phan is soooo petite! Pity I only got one good shot of her - you know how it is when people are talking… you tend to get shots with arms flailing, closed eyes and all.

The other items launched together with the eyeshadows are:
  • Plume Liner, $42

  • Extremely long lasting eyeliner which glides on comfortably with a jet-black finish. Thanks to a long and soft brush, it can easily draw thin or thick lines.
  • Hypnose Doll Eyes Waterproof, $50

  • Formulated with ultra-feminine floral notes from Turkish Rose and Magnolia.
  • New Doll Eyes Ombre Absolue Palette (LE), $84

And the very next day (Saturday), we got to meet Michelle Phan up close and personal! All thanks to Lancome Singapore who arranged a special blogger’s meet up for us! Poor Michelle must have been really tired (flight from USA > SG is about 22 hours?!) but she was really affable and I hope she got to try Chilli Crab before she left Singapore for Australia!

Pretty Yanny with Michelle!

All the bloggers got a shot with Michelle! XD Hmmm I seem to be just about her height. We were both in heels!

Finally finally finally got to meet Velda!!! So chic lah her ensemble! Major love for her earrings. I actually have a pair like that but I couldn’t carry it off.. She’s the first person I’ve seen to carry it off so well!

(makes mental note - must wear 4″ heels or higher when going to blogger events.**)

And, and and.. For a third time (Sunday), I got meet Michelle Phan again! 3 days in a row! This time, it’s to be in a video with Michelle Phan herself! Lancome Singapore called out for video entries, I sent mine in, and got selected! ♥ how lucky!

It isn’t a make up tutorial/demo video, but I can’t wait for it to be out!
Truth to be told, making a video really isn’t easy, and especially for me because I tend to trip over my words quite a bit (speak too fast!) - but Michelle is just such a pro at that! She breezes through it so effortlessly and she was just _so_ professional. I have even more respect for youtube stars and vloggers now!

drawing behind was done by Michelle within like 10 seconds, using the Plume Liner while I was flubbering with my lines. yikes!

Other than that exciting bit in the morning, I also got to meet Jean Danker who was hosting Michelle’s meet & greet session at VivoCity!

Super starstruck that weekend. Thank you so much, Lancome Singapore for the fabulous opportunities!

Till next time when I get to do EOTDs with the shadows and mascara! (I’m eyeing I202 (Erika F) & S110 (etoile d’Argent)!) I’ve been waiting for the waterproof version of the Hypnose Doll Eyes for such a long time!
