piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012 - Amethyst & Tease!
Today’s post is a special one - it’s time for piCture pOlish’s Blog Fest again!
This time round, piCture pOlish’s Blog Fest 2012 has 80 bloggers around the world showing you the beautiful colors produced by piCture pOlish!
I’ve been lucky to get picked again this year (You can view 2011′s post here!) by the girls from piCture pOlish, and they’ve kindly sent me two amazing shades all the way from Australia for reviews!
First up will be a very special polish - Amethyst.
Amethyst
“Amethyst is new and very special as it is from our new ‘Collaboration Collection’ and was jointly created by Susan from Star Trinkets (Singapore Network member/Distributor). Is exclusive to piCture pOlish on-line and Star Trinkets - how exciting!!”
Does this look familiar yet? When I took it out of the package I couldn’t put my finger as to where I’ve seen this before. After rummaging through my stash, I realized that this is exactly like piCture pOlish’s Denim (my previous review here!) - BUT in PURPLE!

Denim is a super unique shade in my collection, and adding Amethyst to my collection was a must even if I wasn’t given this shade! Who says denim (jeans) must all be blue? ; )

Tease
“Tease is a new ‘Mesh’ shade and will be available from piCture pOlish on-line and from all Network members!”
It’s hot pink glitter mixed with bold silver glitter - the result is a super disco ball look on your nails - it’s so bright!!!
The silver glitter does settle and you have to shake it up a bit - but don’t worry if you still see a huge chunk of glitter sticking to the side of the bottle - just roll the bottle gently (actually I shake it. I have a very bad habit of shaking the bottles violently - plus, they’re rectangular so it’s a little hard to roll!) so that you won’t have too many bubbles appearing upon application - the glitters distributes well on the nail. I did two coats only, and it’s already fully opaque!
I love glitters like this - never mind the settling! I’d love to see this amazing mesh polish in navy blue (oooh, check out Orbit in the links below!), or teal - they’ll be a real keeper!
This one dries a little gritty due to the huge amount of glitter, but nothing Seche Vite can’t solve!
When you get your polishes (the latest batch!), you’ll realize that there’s a little QR label affixed to the side of each bottle - these QR labels will take you straight to piCture pOlish on-line or a Network member (depending where the shade was purchased) - this makes purchasing and surfing so much easier! I love the wonders of technology and I’m especially impressed when companies follow such trends to make things easier for everyone.

The polishes are available on StarTrinkets for S$16.50 (Opulence range goes for S$19) - Susan is based in Singapore, and she does ship outside Singapore upon query.
piCture pOlish has been really active on Facebook (awesome giveaways! Like them now) and across all other social media platforms like Pinterest and Twitter, which I really appreciate - I love all their newly released shades and they’ve been stepping up their game and producing some real hits! You can see that they’ve really great customer service and marketing (with all the Facebook giveaways, BlogFest every year, collaborations with network members…), and you can expect the best from all their selected network members as well!
