Bless me Father, for I have sinned...
I spent two and a half hours in a McDonalds yesterday afternoon with this week's "In Touch Weekly", a cheeseburger, fries, diet coke (oh and a few McNuggets)... and it was BLISS! let me explain...
Friday night was the TVMcGill party, "Uncensored"-- although no one had faith in us beforehand and everyone (save a few loyal supporters) thought it would be a major flop, it turned out to be a huge success! There was a line-up all night and it was pretty packed inside... unfortunately the coat check was really slow and the bar service wasn't always speedy but the drink specials and 2 DJ's made for a very good night! I couldn't be much happier about it. (oh, plus, apparently our 'competition' party down the street was not at all packed which makes our success even more impressive)
About who came and who didn't... that was probably the most surprising part of the whole night. There were definitely some people who I expected to show up and who didn't come by at all, there were some people who had bought tickets but I didn't really expect to show up but they actually did, and then there was a whole load of people that I recognized from McGill who were there all night that I would never have guessed would be there. There ended up being surprise run-ins all night long! :) good stuff.
Anyway, it was a long night though and I was so stressed for most of it that I did not really sit back until the end when the last two drinks I had pretty much hit me. I went to Nat's for a little while to witness the hilarious afterparty going on there and then went home and passed out.
So the next morning, after I dragged myself out of bed and to the AMC forum to film a show for MUTV, I decided that I needed some R&R time and what better way to rest and relax than with a gossip mag and some junk food? So there you go, my afternoon of guilty pleasure (oh I also got a call from my mum while at McD's which is why I stayed so long).
And tonight I get to go to Sam's house to watch the Oscars and hopefully make a quick buck by winning the Oscar pool that will be going on... (cross your fingers- I need money for my phone bill!)
