Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day (December 8th)

Well, this is one I hadn't heard of before, but sounds hilarious.

You probably already know about International Talk Like a Pirate Day, but did you know about Pretend to be a Time Traveller Day?

The idea is to basically pretend you're a time traveler, from the past or a possible future (be it utopian or dystopian). There is, however, one catch

Not so much buzz about it this year. I do hope some carry on the tradition this year though, as it would be absolutely hilarious. :D

From the past: Be sure to wear period clothing. Be overwhelmed by the simplest technology, and afraid of any style that is immodest by that period's standards.

From a utopian future: Dress as the "natives" of the time period you're now in (i.e., the present), but goof up on a few key details, like tying your shoelaces at the toe.

From a dystopian future: Dress in dirty, tattered clothes (a torn trenchcoat comes to mind), and be sure to peek at the sun as if you've never seen it before.

For the utopian future, your standard every-day Ford Prefect costume/personality should be good.

There's an idea. Go into a bar, ask for 6 pints and a bag of salted peanuts. Give the tender a $50, tell him to keep the change, and that he's got about a half hour to spend it ;)
