Post 123: Jesus Christ, That's How Long It Takes!
So I've been crusing craig's list for the past week or so after Solei helped my get my resume together. (Thank you so much, hon! I had no idea it was that broken!) I've been emailing it response to various ads and getting really discouraged about the lack of response. I'm really impatinent. Even when I was told that I could expect to be jobless for 3 months out here. And that's if I'm actively looking for a job every day. So, in a fit of melancholyness, I start scrolling down to see what positions have (I assumed) already been filled. There was one for being a game tester, posted by a staffing company. I figured what the hell and sent my resume out.
Not 10 minutes later, my cellphone (Thank you again, hon!) blows up with a job interview offer at 9:30 AM.
I really hope I get this. As nice as it is doing nothing but slut myself around on SL, I'm getting kinda bored with it. I need to be doing something constructive with my day besides, just cleaning house and pawing off.
And on a side note. It seems that my mom isn't without hope. It just took me running 3000 miles away to get her to treat me like a human being. Interesting.
