Pictures and an Update

Jan 03, 2005 15:28

Sorry I've been so slummin' about responding to comments and updating the journal. This past week has been really busy, but it's been great. New Years was a lot of fun, although parts of the night are rather blurry :) John's family has been in Florida, so we've had the house to ourselves, which has been really nice. Yesterday his grandmother passed away, and although he wasn't very close to her, he was still understandably upset. I went over around 8:30, we got some sushi, rented some movies, and built a fire. We watched The Bourne Supremecy and The Seven Year Itch, both of which were great. This morning we got up and took a shower together and he made french toast for breakfast. His spirits seem pretty high, and I'm just trying to be there for him as best I can. Tomorrow is his 23rd birthday, and I'm going to cook him an elaborate dinner. I've decided to make clam chowder, my crab cakes, a lime meurange pie, and some type of side dish. Kim and Dietz are also going to come over and eat with us, so it should be quiet but nice. I've been working a lot this week, so I'm pretty tired, but it feels good not to worry about money, even though I know it's only temporary. I got my final grades last week, and my health professor (the one credit class) gave me a B. I had a 95% going into the final, and  I felt like I had done very well on it, so it has to be a mistake. She's messed up my grade twice already during the semester, so hopefully we will be able to work it out. She won't be back at school until the 12th though, so I'll have to wait until then. My classes for the spring semester are paid for, and I go back on the 24th. I turn 21 on the 17th and I can't wait. My parents made reservations at my favorite restaurant (Clyde's) for lunch, and then I'm going to go out with my friends that night. I'm so excited! I'm going to try not to get too crazy though...I do want to remember the night! lol! It's so nice having everyone home for break, but it sucks because some of my friends have already started to go back to school. I got spoiled having everyone home over the summer! There has been some drama, but none of it has really directly involved me, so that's kind of nice. Anyway, I've taken a shitload of pictures over the last couple of weeks, and I promised to slowly start posting them, so I'm going to start with some pictures of Caitlin's new puppy, Emma. I absolutely love my new digital camera...it's awsome! The picture quality is kazillion times better than it was with my old one! Anyway, on to the photos!
