Another very short excerpt from the annotated bibliography I'm working on....I really appreciated all of the feedback last time, it helps me so much to know what you all think and when you catch the mistakes I miss! And remember people,

"story opposed" suggested "story as opposed"
Only other suggestion is to stop saying "Squires" after the first reference and just use "He" instead.

I really like the way you write sweetie.

entertainment value of a story as opposed to the truth...

and standards have dropped, rather than decreased - decreased implies a ratio, whereas standards are harder to quantify than that :)

PS. Does the reference mention the first name or initial of the Squires chap? When I first read it my initial reaction was that you meant "squire" as in 'person' (a la British slang).. so a "Tony Squires" or "T Squires" in the first instance would allay such a response :)
