Chapter 2 : Lilith
"Lil? Are you okay girly? You've been sweeping that one spot, staring out the window for twenty minutes now. What's going on?"
As the manager and owner of the establishment, Candance was worried over her newest, yet most gifted employee. She searched her face for signs of what may be going on in that head of hers.
"Huh? Oh! Sorry Candance. I.. ehh..", Lilith had focused on Candance to address her, but when trying to explain herself her eyes were once again pulled to the window, "Someone's coming today. Someone with ill news. He's trying to resist...something. It doesn't make sense. He's coming here, but he's resisting it."
At that Lilith looked to Candance with pure confusion written on her face. Candance looked to the window that shown people walking by, but no one stopping, starring, or coming towards the shop.
"Well then, is he tall, dark, and handsome?" she asked with a smirk already knowing the answer to her question.
Lilith turned toward her employer, annoyance shinning in her eyes. "You know perfectly well I can't see him unless I've made a psychical contact with him before."
Candance smiled with a little mischief sparkling in her eyes. "Well that's a shame, I wouldn't want to waste any extra product if he's a dud and not a stud. I see you've decided to though. Look at you and your eyes. Looks like you're trying to impress someone today."
