> 017 - the use of hot and cold

Another curse . . .

The weather has been unbearably hot the entire day . . .

And now it has become chilly.

And a number of people are acting strangely.

This is making me far too lethargic . . .

Hmph.

I wonder where that little fox is now . . . Keeping itself busy, I suppose.

snark, this is all on papyrus, rambling, walk like an egyptian, hmph, foxy can't stand the heat, another fox!, curse

Perhaps . . .

How is Amanda-san?

I am well. Another one who knows my name before I introduce myself; how positively bizarre…

I have shade and water, should you need it, you can come here. Don’t let the appearance fool you, I am indeed home.

[OOC: Cursed into being a noblewoman who dislikes the treatment of the slaves, actually and randomly offering water to the common people. ^_^;]

Yes, well . . . We have met previously, Amanda-san. When you were not cursed.

That is very kind of you, Amanda-san. Thank you. Perhaps I shall be over shortly . . . Where may I find you?

[ooc; oh~! ^^ Well, Megumi's been lying around all day, occasionally checking up on people through the papyrus journals, but overall lethargic because of the heat. X3]

Hmm… I see. Perhaps my memory is like a sieve today for reasons I do not know.

I can see west toward a great park through one of my chamber windows, and another building can be seen through the other window. From outside, I believe I am on a low enough floor that the linen hanging to provide privacy when I don’t wish to look out can be seen; it is slightly darker than that of my neighbors. The guard dog will bark if he doesn’t recognize your footsteps when you come close enough to be within his hearing, but do not worry about the noise; I can dismiss him and he will not lay tooth, tongue, or claw upon a living being without my consent.

I am sure your memory will return to its usual sharpness by the morrow, Amanda-san. In a few hours, even, I should expect.

A dog . . . Kami-sama.

Ah, well. I shall be there soon, Amanda-san.

I appreciate the sentiment…

Be careful of the guards and those rebelling. It’d not be good to be caught in the middle or accidentally struck by a stray pebble from one of their slings when one is just trying to move about.

Yes, I did notice that there has been trouble as of late. All normal for a curse day, I suppose.

I will be careful.

Amanda-san has not been caught in the crossfire, I hope?

I have seen it in the distance from my window, but neither side has come close enough to even recognize a face much less be struck. Therefore, I simply see their papyruses and watch them go back and forth with no sign of an end…

Thus far you’ve been safe as well?

Trust me, Amanda-san . . . That end will probably come in a few hours' time.

Yes . . . I have mostly been lying down all day. I do not feel quite well because of the heat.
