Xing-ke-san, the results of your diagnostic exams have come in. I would like a word with you.

I would implore you to not inquire what happened during last curse, Doctor Akechi.

Oh, I apologize, Lilith-sensei, if it causes you discomfort. It must have been a painful one for you . . . But I hope that you are alright, at least?

My client is a 26-year-old male who is experiencing hemoptysis. He also displays pallor and gauntness. No reports of fever or night sweats. I have done a sputum exam and a chest x-ray, but I have seen no signs of any causative pathogens, though lung damage is present in both fields. I am at a loss, Lilith-sensei . . . I think I should run diagnostics on his other organ systems as well, just to verify . . .

Far better. Thank you.

What about nosebleeds? Have you checked for arteriovenous malformation? This could be a case of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.

I am glad to hear it.

No, he mentioned no cases of nosebleeds. And he does not display teleangiectasias on any skin and mucosal linings upon my physical examination . . . But I have not done any cardiovascular diagnostics yet. I think that would be the next best option . . .

It could still be a genetic disorder. In any case, my best suggestion is to transfer his case to healers if his cure is beyond the scope of medicine. Our diagnosis could be flawed and the patient would suffer meanwhile.
