Duo and Riley both have an email waiting in their inbox, should they decide to try to check their email at Milliways.

What! Do I even want to know how you're doing this?
Who am I kidding, of course I want to know -- HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS???
You're lucky I was hard at work on my book (and therefore had my e-mail and sixteen tabs of news and celebrity gossip open) when you sent this; I never would have gotten it otherwise. You're sending pics? Are they the good kind? I'm down with the good kind. You don't have to worry, I have great reflexes. No passing impressionable young minds will sneak a peek.
What are you doing in the early nineties? That's the Dark Ages; practically Hammertime. Pro tip: don't let anybody shove you into a locker. I'm pretty sure I spent most of 1993 in one.
The volcano isn't going to explode anytime soon, right? Smoldering seems to be more their thing. On second thought, even if it did decide to start spitting lava everywhere, I'm sure you could do magicky things to escape.
Where are you, anyway?

attachment: kimono.jpgOh, man- I miss the 21st century! Mother is getting a crash course in what to look forwards to, down to what evil empire stocks to start buying. But as to 'whereamI?', I'm a couple hours via Winnabago north of San Fran. I'll have to see if I can download some Earthside maps somewhere, but putting my own personal sattelite in orbit is a bit beyond my reach ( ... )

For the record, I had to Google 'rickroll.' You know, it's really not nice to make fancy pop culture references from 2007 at the guy from 2005. For the record, though: hilarious. Who would have thought Rick Astley would ever be even remotely topical again?
Makes sense. Totally crazy, but makes sense. Let me know about the secret alien robot base; I've always thought volcanoes were a perfect hiding place for those. Well, okay, granted, I've always been more about the top secret military bases than the alien robot bases, but I'm an open-minded kind of guy.
Riley
P.S. - Hubba hubba hubba. When are you coming back again?

Aw, but then you'll know all about such things even before they come out! And Rick Astley isn't that bad- I've put that song on my cell phone as a ring tone. Tends to drive people nuts when I'm on Earthside in my own time. ^_^
We're about to get into the national park where the thing should be located. I also had to figure out 'grunge' without being able to do a google image search on the fashion, so I hope I got it right. If not- oh well! After we check this place out, I'll send along some pixs- hopefully some good ones from the remote probes. We'll see.

P.S.- Rarrrrr. No exact idea, alas- after the supposed secret alien robot base, there's a golf course out in the desert somewhere? I'll have to ask what that's supposed to be.
But whenever I do come back, I'd hope there'd be some sort of lovely welcome waiting for me?

The next step: figuring out how to route e-mails from Hammertime Dark Ages to Milliways to 2005. I wonder if I could do it without magic? I'm going to investigate.
Which is all my way of apologizing for how long this took. I haven't been to Milliways in a couple days. It's a long story. But as long as you got plaid and flannel, and maybe even combined them (crazy, I know), you're covered when it comes to grunge. How were the secret alien robots?
Riley
P.S. - If by 'lovely' you mean 'naked,' yeah, there'll totally be a lovely welcome waiting for you.
Was that too forward?

attatchment: parkgate.jpgHAH. Flannel and plaid. Oh well- I'll keep track of that for next time I have to dress in this 'grunge'. You'll see in the pix what I thought it was- and personally, I have to say I like that much better ( ... )
