First day of 2013

Jan 01, 2013 13:20

Its been a looong time since I have written here. In fact, I had all but forgotten this existed until a random person commented on a post from over 5 years ago. I started re-reading over some of my posts, particularly from tour and it made me think about 1. How much I liked to journal, whether on here or with pen and paper and 2. How much my life has changed over the last decade or so.

There's something really satisfying about documenting everyday life and going back to read about it. The most ordinary day turns into an event of personal history. I have found that I'm more likely to journal in a time of angst. My closet is full of notebooks of teenage angst, and this particular blog is full of my young adult 20's angst. Well, things have been happy overall in my life. 2012 was a big year. I quit my job and took a different job where I can claim ownership of my work. (The biggest stressor in my old job.). I got married. And I'm no longer a young adult. I'm a woman in my 30's now. Which is weird to say.

Anyways, whether I'm in need of it or not, I think it would be beneficial to start journaling again. In fact, I think I will make that my new years resolution.

Livejournal - the biggest thing I miss about you is your mood lemon heads, which you appear to have gotten rid of, so I will make my own, I guess.

Today's mood: sleepy and lazy
