(no subject)
Yesterday while walking to my car from work I was approached by a woman who, from looks alone, didn't appear to be homeless. She had on purple lipstick for cryin' out loud! She asked me if I could spare some change so that she can could catch the bus. Of course I looked at her and said "sorry" and she moved on to the guy that stood next to me smoking a cigar. He was an elderly gentleman who acted like he hadn't heard a word she said to him. As the light turned for us to cross the street I heard her tell the man how disrespectful he was for ignoring her and implied that the reason his hair had turned grey was because of his disrespect to people. I got the biggest kick out of her bluntness. So much so that it made me laugh out loud in front of a group of strangers who ended up looking at me like I was nuts.
In other news, I got my taxes done over the weekend. I'm getting back more than I expected which is excellent. Our annual performance bonuses are also coming up at work and I always get so excited but end up disappointed in what I receive. Such is life I guess.
I'd like to plan a much deserved vacation somewhere hot in the next couple of months. I have two different friends getting married this summer in tropical locations and would love to attend at least one of them. It just so happens that they're both on the same day too. It's something to look forward to, that's for sure.
