You know, one of the great things about fandom is that we get to see how everyone views the same show differently. Recently,
wendelah1 had a similar observation in one of the X-Files fanfiction communities. It's obvious numerous interpretations happen in all fandoms

I mean, I don't hate Natalie and I can stomach her, but I agree that she is somewhat cruel and hypocritical.
I love this statement:
I don't like that she sees Nick as merely some sort of addict that needs therapy, when he is more like a lion that has been locked in a cage and is slowly starving himself.
YES! I agree with this. And, most importantly, she doesn't recognize--and of course, Nick doesn't either--that she's part of the problem. Nick wouldn't have problems controlling his urges and even his melancholy if he was on a proper diet, healthy, and not starving.
I also agree with your thoughts that Nick can redeem himself as a vampire. Mortality is not all that it's cracked up to be. He thinks if he becomes human, it will solve all his problems, and even Natalie reminds him that it won't. Like we discussed with my Nick/Urs fanfic "Need," Nick needs to realize that what he is isn't as important as who he is.
Again, you're awesome, because you actually go against the grain and don't accept the "normal interpretations" of Nick and Natalie!
(By the way, I revised my story "Need." I'm about to post it to fanfiction.net. One of my commenters felt I didn't show why Nick and Urs were suddenly so "chatty" with one another, so I tried to fix that. I'm only letting you know just in case you wanted to read that version when I posted it. It's not significantly different, BTW.)

By the way have you ever watched that show? It only had two seasons and is now off the air, BUT there are a set of books by Tanya Huff called "The Blood Books" and I think you can still buy the two seasons from amazon.

And, I don't blame you. I don't watch "Last Knight" often. You should watch "Francesca" and "Ashes to Ashes," though. (The two episodes before FK's series finale.) Those are two of my favorite season three episodes. (If you're a huge fan of Vachon and Urs you might not like everything about "Ashes to Ashes" but it's great when it comes to Nick and Lacroix, which I know you like.)
