So the last few days have been FULL OF FEELINGS FOR FICTIONAL PEOPLE OH MY GOD. Firstly, this week's Elementary completely slayed me, as in reducing me to blubbering tears, because Sherlock Holmes, y'all. OMG does no one care, they all are instead LOL LAURENT U BROTHER FUCKER and then are so surprised when laurent stabes them in the face.
It's like, how can Damen not notice.

Surely they must know that Nicaise was his pet!
I cannot decide if pedophilia is a bad thing or not in Vere, because everyone's all DUN CARE with Nicaise around, but when poor Nicaise died and Laurent made his declaration that his uncle could kill all the children across the country just means less people to fuck, everyone was So Shocked.

I know! I...tend to think they don't think it's that much of a taboo, at least nothing like bastards.

Perhaps it's okay to child-fuck, you just don't be all OBVIOUS about it.
Oh god all the hints about laurent and his uncle, how when Laurent was younger he'd travel with his uncle, and how when he was 15 he was drop-dead gorgeous, and when he was thirteen he claimed he was so green and innocent he could have been led around by the nose.
I'm still not sure that Laurent made BAD MISTAKES in Book 1, but he certainly isn't the Ultimate Strategist that Damen thought/thinks he is.
Laurent DOES plan ahead, so it has to be possible that he knows Damen is Daminos?
Or maybe he knows DEEP DOWN and just doesn't acknowledge it? D:
because like someone said earlier, why be so crude and cruel about Kastor and his mistress, if Damen was merely a guard, right? it'd only make sense and hurt Damen if he was closer related to Kastor.
