Okay, so. With all the excitement that's been building over the last week or so, there seems to be an unreasonable amount of negativity coming along with it. And that just won't do! So here's what I propose:

It's a novelty, having their own space. Even though Tony signed over the deeds to the whole building, Bucky and Steve live in the small, top-floor apartment, where there's one bedroom and their neighbours can be in no doubt as to what kind of men they are.
As to what kind of men they are: Bucky carries out Mrs Murphy's trash and, when the elevator was out, Steve helped Sandra, who has four children under the age of six, carry the pushchair, her groceries, little Johnny's schoolbag and sometimes little Johnny himself up the four flights of stairs to their apartment.
Steve is on the couch when Bucky gets home. His sketchpad is sitting idly on the coffee table and Steve's arm is curved around a big, hardback book and he's resting his head back against the couch cushions and Bucky might think he's asleep except for the smiling curve of his cheek.
"You're late," says Steve and it rings with resonance.
Bucky shakes his head and shakes free the rain droplets. "Nah," he says. "You're just impatient."
He sets down the pizza box and peels off his raincoat and Steve'll look disapproving if he drops it on the hardwood floor, so he hangs it up and then walks over to Steve. He sinks down to straddle Steve's lap, gently tugging the book out of his hands and placing it on the couch cushions next to us.
"Pizza?" says Steve, as though his hands haven't settled on Bucky's hips, as though he face isn't already tilted towards Bucky's, like a flower to the sun.
"Pizza can wait," says Bucky. Sometimes it tastes better cold. He ducks his head, once and twice, and brushes his lips over Steve's. Sometime, this will stop being a novelty, but it's been two years since Bucky emerged from a cloud of murderous thoughts, and three years since Steve was pulled from the ice, and Steve's fingers tighten and he parts his lips and Bucky kisses deeper and sweeter and maybe the novelty will never wear off.
He tilts his head to the side as Steve drags his lips along the line of his jaw, to nip at his ear, and it is everything playful and teasing, and everything that Steve Rogers is, when there's only Bucky Barnes to see him. Bucky can't help it if a soft sigh escapes his lips, which serves to remind Steve of Bucky's lips' existence and they kiss again, until their lips are swollen and until Steve rests his head back again, looking up at Bucky with adoration that squeezes Bucky's heart.
"I like you better than pizza," says Steve and Bucky tilts back his head and laughs.
"I like you better than pizza, too, pal."
