#EMOTIONS

I saw The Avengers this morning.

WHAT A LIFE-RUINING MOVIE.

WHAT THE FUCK DID I ACTUALLY WATCH. Like. For two and a half hours I was literally Kristen Bell sobbing over a sloth. I have never watched a movie where I was shaking and crying and laughing ALL AT THE SAME TIME. By the second half I was screaming, "STOP IT. STOP IT," into my hands because I needed to fucking BREATHE. OH MY GOD.

Just. I can't. Bruce fucking Banner, y'all. What is his face, fuck you Mark Ruffalo, I WANT YOU TO BE MY BFF FOREVER AND ALSO TONY STARK'S SCIENCE BFF. They were amazing and tortured soulmates, okay. SOULMATES.

I saw this in IMAX 3D, right? And seeing Steve Rogers in IMAX 3D should come with a warning. So much moaning "Steeeeeeeeeeeve" at everything. EVERYTHING. HE UNDERSTANDS FLYING MONKEYS. "THIS SEEMS TO BE RUNNING ON A TYPE OF ELECTRICITY." I am sobbing just thinking about it all and I cannot handle the perfect way he >:( at Tony ALL THE TIME. And the way he addressed Natasha as "ma'am"? Just murder me. I've been spewing my feels at lyo, who brought up fic where Steve calls everyone "ma'am" and "sir" except Tony, who is pissed off about it. WRITE ME A BILLION WORDS OF THIS, SOMEONE.

My Tony feels exist in another plain of existence, and let me just say that the fact that they put one take of the "Genuis Billionaire Playboy Philanthropist" in the trailers and a TOTALLY DIFFERENT ONE into the actual movie was spectacular. ANGST. TONY'S >:( FACE. GOD. Him telling Steve all he's worth is from a test tube, FFFFFFFFFF just kill me and end it all.

Natashaaaaaaaaa you are so great and your emotions are great and I WANT YOU TO HAVE YOUR OWN MOVIE. Marvel, seriously, there is so much there with her and Clint's backstory, and I would watch it for a million years.

Speaking of Clint, did anyone else scream internally when Loki ~took control~ of Clint and said, "You have heart," and think, HOLY SHIT IT'S gqgqqt's DISCLOSURES IRL?? Ugh, Rennerrrrrrrrrr, forever endearing every character EVER to me. I was dying during the final battle. SNARKY!HAWKEYE FOREVER AND EVER.

Okay, so. This brings me That Spoiler No One Talked About. I made sirona_gs tell me about Coulson's death a few weeks ago, because I know how Joss Whedon operates and I was TERRIFIED it was going to be Clint. I'm glad I knew going in, but I'm also super obsessive over being reassured that HE'S NOT DEAD, OKAY. Clark Gregg was quoted as saying Joss told him he wouldn't get offed, and supposedly he's going to be in Iron Man 3 and the Fury Movie. There's ALSO a rampant theory running around that they're going to make Coulson an Avenger for the next movie, i.e. The Vision (which, uh, hi, has a love triangle with Hawkeye in the comics, I'M JUST SAYING). Not to mention Coulson is one of the main characters of "The Ultimate Spiderman" TV series, which takes place AFTER the events of The Avengers, AND he's now a featured character in the 616 comics verse. I add this to the evidence that a) Fury admits to having secrets and basically lying as a means to an end b) we don't actually see Coulson's body c) Hill's comment about the trading cards being in Coulson's locker and not on him personally when he was stabbed. The cards were a nice touch, but wouldn't seeing Coulson's body be just as jarring? Wouldn't they want to say goodbye?

I kind of upset myself tonight reading reaction posts on my flist, because...goddamn it, I feel like I'm the only one who thinks all this. :((((( And I started to get depressed and emotionally devastated that I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FUNCTION IN FANDOM ANYMORE. And then I was reminded, hey, it's comics. No one's really dead, ever. But for the sake of my fragile sanity, if you're convinced of the opposite, please don't say so here. Please let me live in denial and believe forever that Marvel would never kill off their most out-spoken fanboy with the huge Twitter following.

And before you mention that Clint basically had no reaction either way to Coulson's stabbing, I'm going with the obvious--that Fury told Clint and Clint alone about his lie and now Clint has to deal with that knowledge without letting the others (especially Natasha) know. Oh, and did I mention COULSON HAS A CELLIST IN PORTLAND? As lyo said, since when does former carnie = cellist?

Ugh ugh ugh #EMOTIONS #FEELINGS #DEATH
