So, my mother. I realize in many respects she's kind of an awesome mom and that I'm SUPER lucky to have her in my life, but the older I get, the more I am coming to terms with the fact that she's...well, crazy. I love her to pieces, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I want to smack her and be all, "JFC WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, WOMAN ( Read more... )

MOMS. >:(

Besides, seeing a movie three times is not obsessive. Seeing a movie thirty times is.

THANK YOU. I if I'd seen Avatar three times, she wouldn't have said anything. Her and my brother are a little >:( at me because I don't think Avatar's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I mean, I guess I'm lucky in that my mom has always been supportive of my looks or whatever, but I WOULD LIKE A COMPLIMENT ON MY HARD WORK. :( That, or not making me sound like a weirdo for really, really liking a movie and wanting to spend my money to see it more than once in the theater.

I feel so lucky that my mom just seems pleasantly amused by fandom in general. In regards to my dad, however, I know exactly how you feel. :-/

Don't let the lack of commenting bring you down, she's noticed, and more, you've worked hard and others have noticed that as well..basque in the glow of what you've accomplished, even if she doesn't say anything, my mother on the other hand, every time I go away for one or two days says.."Have you eaten, you look thinner, you can't afford to lose any weight." which can be just as annoying believe me.

I wouldn't say 3 times is obsessive at all, it's a great movie..if you saw it like 10 times in one or two weeks..then yeah, that would be obsessive.

The thing is, she compliments Mr. Foxx all the time! Granted, he's the son-in-law, and she likes to make him feel wanted, but...asl;kdfks. *grumps*

Not that I didn't WANT to see it 10 times, but you know. Life and stuff get in the way of obsessing sometimes.

Moms really do seem to have the ability to drive you crazy, which is confusing when you do love them so much.

I have to agree with the others. Three times isn't obsessive at all.

She didn't seem this crazy/annoying when I was younger, oddly enough. Is it just ME getting old, or her??
