In all honesty, I have read one Pern book in my life, and it was when I was thirteen or fourteen, I think. I have a very limited knowledge of that canon, although I did worry about this fic being too similar to that world. I'm so glad you thought it worked, thank you so much! And yes, there is much more to be written in this verse, definitely. :)
So I've been WANTING a Dragonrider AU, but I was wanting more Anne McCaffrey, but...never mind. Because I think you hit most of my fantasy kinks and then you throw in Bandom boys? Jesus fucking christ.
I can't explain how much I loved this, and how I actually fucking cried. Soemtiems fics don't hit me enough to make me cry, but the way you wrote the reunion of Tom and Jon and Frank, Gee, and Jon hit me so hard. I mentioned it before, but I cried like a baby. I also really adored the way they all drifted together, and the dragons. OH MY. THE DRAGONS.

I'm glad you liked it even though it wasn't Pern--one of my biggest concerns was that people would think this was too similar to those dragonriders. But as I mentioned above, I don't have a lot of working knowledge of the Pern canon, so this was actually me ripping off Star Wars more than anything, lol.
