Spencer/Brendon

Spencer's asleep.

Correction, he was asleep until a few moments ago when someone starting nibbling on his ear and tracing patterns across his chest. Now Spencer's only half asleep and maybe making a noise that could possible as a purr.

"You're so fucking pretty in the mornings," Brendon murmurs in his ear, warm and pliable along his back. His voice is rough and pitched a step lower than usual. "All rumpled and shit."

"Mmhm." Spencer still doesn't open his eyes, no thank you, but he twists his shoulders and slits them enough to turn Brendon from presence into an indistinct smear of color against the off white of the ceiling. "Fuck you. Kiss me."

Brendon laughs and it vibrates through his chest.

There are a hundred things Spencer likes about having their place, not him sleeping at Brendon's or Brendon staying that night at his, their thing, is waking up in the morning and knowing there's no logistics of working out stopping at apartments and working out rides.

spencer crawls into jon's bunk just past sunrise, giggling and slipping his fingers up inside jon's sleeve. 'hi,' he whispers.

jon doesn't open his eyes. 'hi,' he whispers back, smiling slow and turning a little, making room. 'why are you awake?'

'i just schooled brendon at rock band,' spencer whispers back, kisses jon's earlobe. 'the drums are so easy.'

jon laughs softly, deep in the back of his throat, and he wraps his arms around spencer, kisses the top of his head, his forehead, the bridge of his nose. 'who'd've thought, huh?'

'i know!' spencer hums softly against jon's collarbone, something from the game or maybe the radio; he's not sure. 'what time is it

(wow, i really am incapable of writing anything vaguely short. or not crushing on keltie, apparently.)Keltie goes home. First, though, they share a hotel room and after Ryan's fucked her, slow and steady, she falls asleep tucked in under the curve of his chin. When he wakes up she's getting dressed from the shower, bags packed neatly by the door, and she goes over and kisses him neatly on the mouth and says, "Call me when you make up your mind," and "I love you." And then she goes home and Ryan has a shower and then sits on his bed and texts Pete cryptically and tries not to think about ultimatums

It takes him a week to tell the others. It's cruel of him, he knows, especially because he feels sick and upset and also guilty because of the whole Brendon Thing but he doesn't feel up to it, not Jon's quiet, friendly compassion or Spencer's understanding or Brendon's - Brendon's anything-at-all, really. He knows that they know something's up, sees them all watching him (he loves his band, he really does, but they're not subtle even at the best of times. Once they tried to throw him a surprise birthday party and it was an unmitigated disaster
