Well the current state of my wants/needs category has taken somewhat of a neutral turn. Aside from me absolutely needing a new car (which I've been going on and on ranting and raving about for the last two months now), my other major want/need is a laptop computer. After work today I decided to take it upon myself to stop at the Best Buy across from where I work to see the newest laptops they have to offer. One of the guys there thought it would be a good idea to get me on one of their credit cards so I could have any one of the computers to choose from. So I said "okay, let's try it." We go up front, do all the paperwork, and just as I suspected, I get shot down big time. However the lady at the register tells me that there was another option that I could go with, and that was the Best Buy Rewards Zone MasterCard, which was easier to get approved with, so we tried that, and I got approved for it. However, there's a catch with that. A (fucking) spending limit, and not only that, a really low spending limit! The limit on the damn card capped out at $510 (well, actually $451 when you factor in a $59 fee which I don't remember off the top of my head was for but I think it was a processing fee or some shit like that). So exactly what does that limit me to? THE JOKE LAPTOP SECTION! This is the under $400 section, where everything is a slow as hell 1.4GHz single core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a measly 160GB hard drive. That's something you want to give Grandma if she was that desperate for a computer. That's not going to do me any earthly good at all. The guy tried to get me to buy one of those that they had, but I quickly passed on that. So now in two weeks, I'm going to be getting a "credit card" that will probably see very little to no use from me at all. I mean, I'd practically have no use for it since I really only go to Best Buy when I absolutely need to. When I don't need to, I just go elsewhere. So, yeah, I've been joked out of another good deal once again, and I'll be stuck with a card I probably won't be using.

Go me, right?
