Operation xD = FAIL
Today I just won the Gold medal in the Idiot Olympics. I must have been insane to think I could buy a brand new car. I really must have.
If you haven't guessed yet...yeah, I was denied the Scion xD. Reason being...I OWE TOO FUCKING MUCH ON THE FUCKING PT CRUISER! And within the base price for the xD, the remainder of car, which is still over half of its price (which now when I look at it is severely overpriced) is also factored into the final price.
The basic math goes like this: ($15,470 (base price) - $1450 (trade-in value) = $14,020 (after trade value) + $5500 (balance stll owed on POS Cruiser) = $19,520 (final price)
This is what is haunting me on every deal I try to go for. The finance guy at Weiss Toyota for some odd reason suggested I go back to CarHop as an option, but there is no way I'm doing that. I'm not going to get out of a POS vehicle to be put in another POS vehicle (for all I know everything on their lots are over 120,000 miles). So I'm still stuck with a shit car that will either fall apart or die at any given notice, and my warranty will not cover any other repairs I get on it (I already checked on this...everything wrong on that thing, including the check engine light, is all on me at this point). So you know what? That's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to go loco on that POS and make it either fall apart or die. Honestly I don't give a fuck anymore. If that's the way it has to be, then so be it.
