Year 2, Semester 1, Day 2 + Other stuff

Tonight was Intermediate Algebra class. Our original instructor for that class was supposed to be Mr. Jayron Ray, but according to our new instructor, Mr. Leroy Adams, Mr. Ray took on a new full time job and has elected to teach weekend class to cope with the new job. So, we have Mr. Adams as our instructor for the class. The first thing he had us do was a little brain teaser to see how we came out to the answer. Most of us did it though the process of elimination. After that, it was the overview of the class and course syllabus. You know...general things for the first day. No book work this time, which is good for me because I have yet to acquire my books (I have to pay out of pocket for them and I won't have money for that until either Thursday night or Friday).

BTW, it's official. I have all black male teachers this semester! Three for three!

A couple of other things happened today. Like at work, I had a number of our equipment fail on me. I was put on a two man mowing crew, which consisted of myself and Ron. At one point in the morning, I was mowing a lot next to the HEIGHTS using the Ferris 48" ZTR (Zero Turn Radius) riding mower, and my cut shoot shield somehow got caught underneath the mower while the blades were running and part of it got cut off. Nothing that can't be replaces, but the big one happened close to the end of my shift. I was on the bigger Dixie Chopper 72" riding mower and as I was cutting a part of AB Green Field, my left rear tire went flat on me. Funny thing is Ron and me checked that same tire last Friday when we were servicing them, and the tire was okay. I'm still trying to figure out how it went flat. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

When I got off work, I wanted to follow up on an apartment lead I just found out on Craigslist, which was a one bedroom for $425/mo. The place was at Maplelawn village, located on Laclede Station Rd. right where Hanley Rd. ends and becomes Laclede Station Rd. Unfortunately there were no units available for rent because according the the landlady they rented out the last of their units. That's okay for me since my move in date is set between October and November. She still showed me the unit since it was still unoccupied at the moment. It looked almost like the units that Archview Property Managements showed me a few weeks back. She gave me the application to take home and bring back when I'm ready (along with $40 for the app fee).

Well,wish me luck, you guys!
