New Beginnings + Slaughter Is the Best Medicine

Well, my time at Hertz has come to a close. It was an interesting run, and I got to drive a lot of cool vehicles. I wish I could have stayed, but room for advancement there was few and far in-between, especially with so many more layoffs coming up. I'm surprised I survived the first round of layoffs, and lasted as far as I did. Honestly, I didn't think I'd make it, but I hung it out. I can't begin to tell you how often I wanted to call in to work just to say "I can't make it in" for one weekend, but I didn't. I just took every bad weekend and worked it, because I needed to. But, all that is over now, and I am ready to begin my new job tomorrow. I don't know what's in store for me, but no one knows what the future holds, so we'll all see together.

Yesterday was pretty interesting for me. After I got off work, I decided to go and bug stryder619 for a little bit, and it turned out to be him, myself, posibolt, Sean, and Katie going to the theater (BTW, thanks for buying my ticket, Eric). And what was it we saw? None other than The Dark Knight! And I have to say, that movie is frikkin' genius! Of all the rants and raves I've heard about this movie from, like, everyone here on LJ, I thought it was going to be good, but I didn't know it was going to be THAT DAMN GENIUS!!! And I don't think anyone else can top Heath Ledger's Joker! I never was too big on Ledger, but this film makes me appreciate him a whole lot more! I hope he gets an Oscar for this. It would be such a waste if he didn't. Bottom line, if you haven't gone to see this movie yet, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GET YOUR ASS TO A THEATER, NOW, AND SEE IT! SEE IT!! SEE IT!!!
