Leave Me Alone, Step-Mom!

What is with this woman, lately? She just will not stop asking me about the ***damn Wii! I swear she asks me about that damn thing like every single day, and how many times do I tell her "no, it's not available anywhere because it's sold out everywhere because it sells out fast and people want it really badly!?" Does her alcoholic self not get ( Read more... )

I'll keep that in mind when I decide to get mine. I'm not getting anything for my step-mom. That woman and technology don't mix at all anyway, so if she wants one, she's on her own. As for myself, right now, I'm concentrating on obtaining a PS3, and now that I'll be working again, I can get back on that ball. My Wii will come in due time, just not now.

Fox on. I'm noticing around a lot of places that it's becoming increasingly hard to find an 80GB system (that's the one I want because I'm wanting to replace my PS2) anywhere. I think Sony might be phasing that out. The only ones I see around are the 40GB systems (the ones without backward compatibility), and that could present a problem if the 80GB is the one you want. Just a heads up.

*Gack* Nothing like a repetitive, aggravating question to get on your nerves fast. Getting a Wii requires more effort than most purchases: when I bought mine I had to a) scour the flyers for a month until I found a place nearby getting them in-stock, then b) arrive at that place an hour before the shop opened and wait until c) the open up & sold 'em. I'm pretty certain they sold out in an hour, and I wasn't the first one in line. Mind you, this was almost a year ago, when Galaxy wasn't out and Brawl wasn't a month away.

Wish I could help with the room situation, but my place really doesn't have enough space for more than one, and the commute between Canada & Missouri would be insane. Hope you find something or things get better though!

I know what you mean. With Galaxy out now and Brawl on the way, it'll make it even harder to get one now. I'll eventually get one, but my step-mom's on her own if she wants one.

And don't worry abut the rooming situation. I understand if you'd rather not leave Canada. Believe me, though, I'd leave the US in an instant (because I'd like to know what it's like to live outside the states and I'm curious about Canada) if I weren't obligated to my schooling at the moment. Another situation will present itself at some point, though. Thanks anyway, Milady!

Tell her eBay, $325~

I feel you on the living situation, in the same boat, it blows. But at least you're saving some money... (even though it's not worth it)

Even though she has one, she can't use a computer (thank God for that). That's why she has to ask me to look up everything for her. She's far too drunk to learn anything, anyways.

And for the record, I've been out of work for nearly over a month. Target got stupid and fired me, so I haven't been able to save up too much lately, but I start a new job tomorrow (that's Monday) which will get me back on the ball with that. Trust me, it will be worth it when I leave this dump.

It ain't easy bro. On the one hand, just tell her that the electronics truck only comes in once a week, and even then they're snatched up on the following business day. Sounds like a good excuse to me.

I already tried it. She still didn't get it.
