Well, I've been looking around Richmond Heights for whatever available apartments there are...some that I can basically afford. This one apartment in particular interested me which I found on Craigslist.org:
http://stlouis.craigslist.org/apa/426488960.html It's a studio apartment located in a pretty good part of Richmond Heights (which is right on the city/county line so I wouldn't be too far away from the city) right at the corner of Michell Av. and Yale Av. Rent is $365/mo (water, sewer, and trash all paid for by the company) and factoring in electric and gas would be about $458 for the whole thing, not including any other expenses that I have including Internet and phone service (which I might be going with Vonage on this). All and all, on my Target salary (which is pathetic), it's pushing it. I'll get back to that in a moment. Anyways, to make sure this was a legitimate deal, I drove by the place to see it for myself. I took a couple of pictures of it with my phone:
What the place looks like on the outside. The apartment that's for rent is the behind the tree on the left side.
The apartment number so I could match with the Craigslist ad.
If it looks like a good enough deal, what I might be doing is looking for a better job that pays me better than Target will ever do and make that my new Fox Den. This seems like a good idea, but I want to see for myself so I'll know what I'm getting myself into. I don't know much about Red Brick Management, but I hope they're not too bad to deal with. I'm going to be going to the place tomorrow (if possible) to look at it. If it looks good, I'm going to shoot for it in any way I can.
Okay, on to my other issue, the Crimson Vixen. Okay, so last time I said that the mechanic shop I took her to to get her water pump fixed said that I might have one or more of my gasket heads blown and he was going to charge me over $850 to fix it. Well, I was a little iffy on that subject, so I decided to get a second opinion on it. So what I did was I took her to McMahon Ford's service shop (which is like right down the street from me) and I had them do a diagnostic on her. Well I get a call back from them, and it turns out (and I actually trust them a bit more) that I have some blockage in my engine, but I'm unsure as to what it is. Well, since I didn't have the money for an extra look, I had to leave it at that, and wait to gain some extra money so I can get that engine unclogged. Now I know what the issue is, I can go about and get it fixed right. And I might also need to get my clutch barer fixed as well because it's starting to act up again (and I can have Adams Auto to thank for that I bet). I'm hoping to get up to at least $600 or $700 saved up for this operation, depending on how Ford will charge me. One way or another, the Vixen will get fixed. I will see to that personally. I want to drive my truck again...I will!
