Fandom Time

Jan 29, 2007 11:57

Well, it's time to do something I rarely do...Fandomize!!! Yeah, I rarely talk about my fandoms because I don't like to sound like an overobsessed fanboy. I dunno. I thought I'd just try something different. I'm always looking for ways to spice up my journal. Helps people get to know me better. So anyways, this is on WWE, so if you're not a fan, please feel free to skip over but if you're interested or curious, continue reading. I'll be offering my thoughts on each match.

Now, the results of the 2007 WWE Royal Rumble

The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) def. MNM (Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro w/Melina)
As much as I hate MNM, it was a thrill for me to see my favorite tag team (the ones I preach about a lot and are dedicated two of my drawings) kick their asses. Way to go, Team Xtreme!!!

ECW World Championship: Boby Lashly (Champion) def. Test via countout
I swear, Test is one of the biggest cowards in the world. One knock out the ring and he walks away from the match? Pathetic. He keeps claiming that he's so deservant of World Title shot, but when it comes down to he can't put away the champion, he chickens out. I have a feeling though that he is going to get the ECW Championship and it's not going to be in the most deserving way.

World Heavyweight Championship: Batista (Champion) def. Mr. Kennedy
YES!!! Finally someone shut Kennedy up. I get so sick of hearing him shoot off his mouth week after week after week. I know he'll be back on SmackDown! this Friday night complaining and complaining like he usually does, but I hope this shuts him up for a while. Don't get me wrong, the guy's a great wrestler. He has defeated six different former World Champions (Batista included), so he does have some skills. It's his character I have a problem with.

WWE Championship Last Man Standing Match: John Cena (Champion) def. Umaga
That puts two losses on Umaga's record, all by John Cena himself. I guess the all powerful Samoan Bulldozer isn't as all powerful as his manager says he is. It's funny that no one else could defeat this guy, but Cena claims two victories over him. I hope this serves as a sign that "hey, this big guy can be defeated!"

30 - Undertaker (SmackDown!)

Winner: The Undertaker

Oh, mother! This one got me all excited. The Deadman, the Phenom, the Undertaker making history winning the Royal Rumble for the first time in his career and from the No. 30 slot (no one has ever won the Rumble from the No. 30 slot before in history, and that slot is considered the best slot in the match). And now the Undertaker goes on to headline Wrestlemania 23 to square off with whoever is the World Champion (Raw, SmackDown!, or ECW if he decides to switch brands, but I doubt he will). And need I mention...The Undertaker has never loss a Wrestlemania event in his career! His record at Wrestlemania stands at 14-0. This year, I'd definitely pullig for 15-0, and a new World Champion!
