Steady As She Goes

Dec 21, 2006 14:05

My mood has been getting a lot more steady the last couple of days (thanks to me listening to the New Age Sirius Station on DISH Network and some endless sessions of playing Black on my PS2...I'm glad I got that game). But the week's not over yet. After next Tuesday, things should hopefully be getting back to normal at work (considering they're switching back to their normal store hours on the 27th), and I use the term "hopefully" very loosely. I can't be sure of anything at that store anymore, eversince it got remodeled into a bigger store. I won't go getting my hopes up.

Speaking of Christmas day, I found out at work that I don't have to work that night. I do, however, have to work Christmas Eve instead, and I have to come in at 18:00, which gives me not a lot of time to sleep. They said they're only taking one truck that night (but I have a feeling it's going to be two...just watch) to make it an easy night because they want us to get home before midnight to spend time with our families. Not to reassuring to me since I don't really like my family (and by family...you know who I mean).

So, that being said, tomorrow afternoon, I need to go do my Christmas shopping. Don't worry. It's only for the dad and the step-mom. No one else since I don't have a special lady in my life. I don't know what I'm going to get them, but I'm taking a trip out to the County to get a good idea as to what to get them. I already know what I'm getting, though. Some clothes that'll probably end up not being worn until next November. Trust me, I don't really expect anything much out of those two anymore. I told them I didn't want anything, but I know they're going to get it for me anyway. Oh well. Can't be helped I guess.

Okay, I'm gonna head out the door now. See you guys. Come Christmas day, expect to hear a Vocal Post from me. I think I'll do that every holiday from now on.
