Storm Tracker

Last night's storms kept me awake for most of the night. The thunder was crackling so loud it brought me out of my sleeping trance, which is hard for anything to do for me. At one point, I almost gave up on sleep and decided to play a video game until I felt I was able to sleep. Luckily, I decided against it. Sometimes, I'd never get to sleep in time if I do that. This morning when I turned on FOX 2 News, I saw the damage that the storms did in the counties surrounding St. Louis. Dave Murry, FOX 2's chief meteorologists, was up all night tracking these storms and constantly kept giving updates to everyone on the air. Not too many meteorolgists do that in this area. From what I looked at, it was pretty bad. Viewers were calling in reporting hail and wind damage to property around them or to them. Some of the viewer reports were chilling for me to hear, coming from such rural areas it sounded really bad. This is unusual for Missouri to get weather like this this early in March. All my time living in Missouri, I've never seen severe weather reach us until late March inti Early April. So, last night, and Saturday night, kinda surprised me a lot. I'm glad that it's over for now. It was a wild weekend in the Gateway City.

The sky just turned pale grey. No rain today, but a lot of cloud cover. Now this is my kind of weather. When it's completely cloudy out, not too hot and not too cool...it's just a relaxing atmosphere. I'll have some of my Trance music playing and I'll get lost in the music and drift off into a sort of meditation. Now, I don't know if I've stated this or not, but a lot of people always consider Trance and some Techno as nothing but party music...music to get high to. I'm not one of them. I'm into travel a lot, and I've used it as a means to relax during long road trips. That's why I call it "Travel Music." My trucking days kinda fueled that, because I got to do it every chance I get. I miss those days, and "grey-sky" days kinda remind me of them. But as I look on the bright side, I'll be able to have a truck in a few months, and I'll be able to drive to places again...not just around the St. Louis area, but some places a no more than 400 miles away. I can't wait to get road trippin' again. Whether I'm going to visit people, or, I'm just out for a drive, I'm gonna make it as fun as I can make it. That's another goal for me.

Time to get lost in the music again. Be seeing you guys. Much love.

Oh, and stryder619 my 4 Strings CD, I'm gonna need that back at some point. I can't have a Grey Sky day without it. Thank you.

road trippin', weather, thoughts, music
