A Building Season
This is just a quick catch up on everything that's been going on. I've realized that long posts that cover everything I've done lately are part of what makes me not post anything.
Basically since July, I've been out of work. I slipped out of Cingular with scarcely a look back to go on a rather nice vacation in Florida with Cj. It was one of my favorite trips down there by far. We got to do pretty much everything I wanted to. Next time I wanna hit a water park though.
Why would I do something as crazy as to run out on a job just for a week of vacation? The understanding was that I was going to be hired by a place called Promesa on my return, a place that also employed Rob, my roommate and preemminent homeboy. They never called. And then about two/three weeks later, he and they reached an agreement where he wouldn't work there anymore, putting the both of us out of work.
So what's unemployment been like? Pretty okay when you get right down to it. I don't like not having any money, but I've been getting by. It's been relaxing to just be able to do nothing for a day. And now it's rekindled the desire in me to go back to school. I owe my mom for really putting that idea back in my head. WHen you work for a while you begin to forget that there are other options. I'm on the road back now though, and that feels really good.
Cj will be back in Austin sometime soon, and if I'm really lucky I'll find a way to go see her one more time out there, either during Halloween or maybe Christmas again. Either would make me very happy.
There are other things I could mention here, like WoW, other gaming, weight loss, or even my Mom's situation with my miserable Stepdad, but I'll wait on all that.
