food for thought...
i gave a brief presentation on feline stomatitis for class tonight. fitting since tonight's topic was animal dentistry.
wish i could have done the whole thing, jokes and all, but time wasn't on my side. i had a couple of cute pictures from icanhascheezeburger.com. one was of a kitty playing with a blanky and saying that he was sick. the other was from House, with House holding up Debbie the death cat, the caption reading "House didn't like the results of the cat scan. 'It's lupus!!!'"
i need a bit of funny to help me get through public speaking.
i showed the before surgery pics and people got grossed out. if a kitty comes in with a bad mouth, they need to know what to expect. some people let this just happen because they could care less. at least i knew what was going on and had the sense to take Eva to the vet!!!
i also got to see stuff that comes out of a dog with a bad mouth. my teacher does work for an dog charity. she got to clean a poodle that came from a puppy mill. the dog only had five good teeth afterwards, the rest had rotted away. poor doggie!!! but now it can eat without pain. but oh the yuck that came out, rotted indeed!!!
FYI, your pets need their teeth cleaned too, because a dirty mouth will lead to long term illness. besides, would you go 70 years without brushing your teeth?
